Just a real quick post to show you my latest project in Crafts Beautiful and a quick update!
It seems like such a long time that I did these! I have been making more Seaside cards for Woodend Gallery today and they will be on their way into the Gallery tomorrow.
I haven't posted since June which is a bit bad! I do have good reason though, I have moved into a bigger shop in the last two weeks, it is still on the same road but opposite and has a lot more space to work so much to Will's relief I no longer have a work station at home and keep it all at work, much better all round except I now have no excuse to not do the ironing!! hence the late post tonight as I have just done three hours of it!
It is all go at School for Fin and Gabs at the minute! Concerts, sports days, school fairs not to mention reports and going to visit new classes for next year. Fin is pleased as he has the teacher he wanted! Though not so pleased that his sports day team came third!!
Gabs is going into the juniors so is very excited.
I will take some photos of the shop and post them this weekend, I don't think I ever posted a pic of the other one, I will now though as Will and Bill have made such a great job of painting it I will have to show their handiwork!
Have a great week everyone.

What will be, will be!
You all know I adore Doris Day! Sometimes whatever life throws at you, what will be will be! Doris gets this perfectly!
I got the most fantastic things for my birthday, one special pressie I got was the following image
This is a card printed from the original which I also received, framed and backed onto the most amazing paper! I will treasure this forever, I got the gift from two guys who have become such good friends of ours, so thank you to Martyn and Stephen. The drawing is an original from one of Martyn's designs so it is copyrighted to him but I just had to show it to you.
On a different track now, Wedding fever is still around!! I have been busy doing Wedding work all this week but had a nice reprieve when had an order for a couple of Photo Albums for a little Boy and Girl,
I had real fun doing these, but then I had to get back to the serious work!!
For my birthday I also received a fab brooch, let me show you which one!
I love it and it is firmly in place on my jacket!
All in all its been a funny old week! I am glad its Friday tomorrow and Gabs and I will have our usual dance around the kitchen to "The Candyman" on Radio 2 just after 8 o'clock in the morning. It is the start of our weekend and gets Friday off to a flying start!
Have a happy weekend everyone!

A busy weekend and my giveaway winner
It has been a really busy time around here!
Firstly it was Fathers Day, we had a lovely visit to the farm to see my Dad and of course it was the perfect chance for Gabs to see the pigs and the lovely new pony Snowdrop. Will show some photos later on!
Happy Fathers Day to Dad and Will, it was a lovely day for them.
It was also my Mums birthday, which did overshadow Fathers Day a little!! Sorry Dad and Will!
Mum liked her pressies and had a nice relaxing day as we had all been out for a lovely meal on Saturday night to celebrate!
And today is my Birthday so we are well and truly Birthdayed out!!! Though we have not had cake for each occasion! Fin, Gabs and myself have however had some crisps and dip tonight! Some friends popped round for tea and we had some treats for tea! Will unfortunately could not get the night off from work so he has missed out. Saved him some Strawberries for breakfast though!
We drew the winner of my giveaway last night, thank you to everyone who entered and the winner is,
Helen Philipps of helenphilipps.blogspot.com/

Not again Gabs!!!
Just when you think, "Hey we have got through the half term OK, back to school tomorrow!" what does Gabs go and do? fall, not once but twice! As a treat Gabs had been invited out to play for the day with her friend Tilly and as usual falls over her own feet! She seemed OK but said her hand hurt a bit, so Calpol was given and off to bed we popped then in the morning, (first day back at School!) her hand is swollen and bruised! So off to A & E we went! It turned out to be just a sprain, so all is well that ends well. You have to get these things checked out just in case don't you?
I was just looking earlier at one of my favourite blogs/websites,
www.maryengelbreit.com/
and what is on there, a great image of a Doctor!! It turns out that Mary has designed scrubs for Doctors!! How nice would that be here!
You can see the new designs on the website!
Now onto something different, I have been making some new bits and thought you might like to see them,
I saw this fabric and had to have it!!
and this one!!
and this one!!!! This is a new design where I make the book and then leave it blank so it can be personalised instantly with a name or a purpose, I have also used it on cards,
This next one is made using my first ever printed paper design, what do you think?
and not to forget Dads Day approaching, though Dad should have his own special book too!
Think I might get Fin and Gabs to give Will one of these!! (already half full with jobs that need doing of course!) I forgot to take a pic of a Fathers Day card! will do that next time. June is a busy time in our house, my brother hates it as he has our Mums birthday which is on the same day as Fathers Day this year!!! and then my birthday the day after, he hibernates for two days!!
Fin has already had a school sports match, Golf on the very first day back! his school didn't win but he really enjoyed it, tomorrow he has swimming and a footy match on Friday, then training and a match at the weekend!! Blimey Fin it tires me out just writing about it. There is no wonder he is so sooo hungry all the time, we just can;t seem to fill him, I'm sure this is quite normal for a ten year old.
Hope everyone has a great rest of the week doing lots of lovely things.

Fins' turn!!!
I have had permission from Fin to show this pic!!! All photos were carefully looked through before he let one on view to you all!!!
Fin had his footy presentation evening and wow!! he received a whopping three trophies, well done Fin!
They now hold pride of place in the Dining room on the fire place, not to be moved.
The pic only shows two trophies, I am not allowed to put any more on!! Hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday weekend, ours here in Yorkshire was very wet! then lo and behold what happens this morning when it's back to work! glorious sunshine! Never mind we trundled off to York, did the museums with Fin and Gabs, then managed a little look in town, snook into Cath Kidston but it was so busy we came out again, I did manage to look in my favourite shop, Paperchase and bought some lovely paper and bits for future projects, I was also pleased to find that the craft mount I use is still £9.00! it has gone up in price here at our local Art shop to £22.00 a tin. I found it on Amazon for around £9.00 as well so I just don't get it!! Needless to say I stocked up!
I am working on some new and exciting projects for some new magazine work, looking forward to showing you that when it comes out!
Have a great week everyone, and for those of you who have children off for half term like me, have a fab time and hope for sunshine!

Another award for Gabs! and some more makes.
Gabs is having a real good time of it at the moment, her little life is full of parties and nice things (just as it should be!!) Gabs came running out of school with an award which she is really proud of. It is quite amazing that she has the award as she has asthma but she seems to be able to save up all her bad times for weekends and holidays!!! She loves school!
Gabs has quite a collection of these and I can honestly say that Gabs has not missed more than two days of school in her three years of attendance!! Go Gabs!
Fin on the other hand is simply filling his time with sport as usual and is pleased that his training is still on even though his season is over! Grabbed him a bargain pair of new footy boots, Predators he tells me though that means nothing to me!! He is desperate for the season to start again!!! He has had rounder team tryouts today and is hoping to make the team. How will he fit it all in!!!
I have just been plodding along in my little shop and making lots of things. My makes are now in the safe hands of the Gallery so that is one thing off my list. I normally have a day off on a Monday but decided to go into my shop and catch up on some orders. I have some lovely cards in that I have bought in to try and take the pressure off me and whilst I do sell them as they are all so lovely, people like to order personalised cards which is good for me! Whilst I was in today I had six more orders, so maybe should have stayed home!!!!
Next Monday I have the first of a set of three workshops that I am doing at one of our local craft shops, I am actually quite nervous about this but looking forward to it at the same time. The shop is called The Craft Store and is in Scarborough on Victoria Road. The lady who owns the shop has a great range of stock but does not have a website yet but it is on the way so I will give you the web address when it is up and running. My first workshop is on the theme of celebration cards.
I have been doing some new things, experimenting really, here are some.
I also have some new items in from some talented ladies!!! The crochet birds are by a lady called Naomi Newton and I met her at the vintage fair in Pickering, she has a lovely blog if you have not seen it called http://naominewton.blogspot.com/ take a look it is lovely and here are her birdies!
They are just lovely!!! I also have the most lovely needlecase and lavender hangings, both with a chicken theme! These are by a lady called Linda Jones, she too has a lovely website called http://www.thescented-garden.co.uk/ take a look and you will be able to link to her blog from here, and here are her treasures that she makes,
these really are vintage treasures which are so lovely to look at!!!
I need to go and read some blogs now!! Lots to catch up on! Have a lovely week everyone
